Today, we wanted to address a question that we get quite frequently from from customers and non customers alike. And that is, How often should I have my house or business treated for pass? And I think that’s a very good question. And the answer is not just one cut and dry, simple answer. It depends on many different factors. And we’ll talk about a few of those here in the next couple of minutes. But a lot of people wonder that how often should I get my house treated for bugs? How often should I get my business treated for bugs. And so let’s talk about a couple of the factors of that. So one of those factors could be your location. And what I mean by that is your location in the United States, so of course, we are here in Alabama, we have very high temperatures, we have very high humidity, lots of sunlight. And so our pest pressure on our homes, pest pressure on our businesses, could be a lot higher than someone who lives further north than where we live here in Alabama. So that definitely is something to take into account. Another thing to think about is the presence of food sources for pests. And that doesn’t even just talk about, you know, your kitchen and crumbs and things like that. I mean, that could be food sources from crops around your house. Foods sources from decaying vegetation, underneath your your bedding, and your flower beds, underneath pine straw and mulch, you know, things that are food sources that attract these pests to your house. And of course, another thing and a lot of people probably don’t consider this. And a lot of people would probably be very surprised that this is even a factor, but an individual’s personal tolerance for bugs. And we see that a lot with our company. We have customers who don’t mind seeing an occasional cockroach, for example in their home. Or we have people who flip out over one, because they just don’t want to see any any cockroaches. And that’s totally understandable. So everyone’s tolerance for bugs is completely different. And so how often do you get your house treated definitely depends on your tolerance level too. But some benefits of regular pest control, whether that’s on a monthly schedule, or BI monthly schedule, or even our typical quarterly schedule, is pest control, you know, it helps prevent things like diseases from spreading. If you have bugs that crawl on the floor, then they crawl on your countertops or they get into your food sources, then this can definitely be an issue that can cause sickness for you and your family members or for your customers in your business. They also, having regular pest control can protect your property from damage. There are different paths that can damage your property such as if you don’t get regular termite protection on your home or business, then you can leave yourself open for a very significant amount of property damage due to them consuming wood product, you know, in structural areas of your home and your crawlspace and your walls. And the other another good reason to have ongoing pest control services is the reduction of a risk of an allergic reaction. So we can talk again about you know, the prevention of spreading diseases. But you know, some folks are actually hypersensitive to cockroaches or hypersensitive to mice and rats are hypersensitive to a bite from an ant or a sting from a mosquito. So, you know, if you’ve got a family member, if you’ve got customers, if you’re a residential or commercial client, and you’ve got people who are hypersensitive to these pests that we treat for then you may be on a increased schedule versus someone who gets a quarterly service. So of course, you know there are different types of treatments from monthly to bi monthly to quarterly. You know, some yearly treatments when you get into the termite aspect of treatment. But you know, you’re going to ask yourself what’s right for you. And I hope that I gave you some insights today on ways to choose what’s right for your home, or ways to choose what’s right for treatment of your business. So just a couple more tips here on choosing a pest control provider if you do not already have one, and I would highly recommend this is this is kind of the number one thing that I would look for in a pest control provider or pest control company. I would always choose someone that guarantees their work. You know, it’s crazy to think in 2023 right now that, you know, I do have customers that come to me sometimes and they say, Hey, I called my previous provider. And they told me that well, it’s summertime and pest pressures higher and we don’t warranty our work in the summertime. Here at pesky pest control, we always warranty our work. And we have 100% Satisfaction guarantee that if you’re not happy with the results, and we can’t make the results perfect for you and your house or your business, then you won’t pay a penny plain and simple. That’s how confident we are that our work will be sufficient to take care of your pest control needs. So definitely always look for a provider who guarantees their work from top to bottom and does exactly what they say they’re going to do and gives you the service that they described before you started service with them. If you have any issues whether it’s you know anything from general household pest to mosquitoes to termites to bedbugs, or anything like that, give us a call at Peskies pest control, we’d be more than happy to take care of your pest control needs.
