Fleas
A flea can lay up to 300 eggs in its lifetime. They have three stages of life, egg, larva, and adult flea. The most important stages of the flea are the larva and the adult. The larva are extremely difficult to see, they frequently get stuck in carpet fibers.
Within 10 days, the larva can become an adult flea depending on temperature, but they can also lay dormant for up to a year.
